Terms and Conditions

The offer is for either a total discount of $50 (inc GST) off your first Contact bill if switching one energy type (electricity or natural gas), or a total discount of $100 (inc GST) off your first Contact bill if switching two energy types (electricity and natural gas and/or LPG).
The offer is available to StudentCard holders who become a Contact customer before 31 December 2010, during the period that the offer is available in the StudentCard’s area of residence, and remain a Contact customer for a period of 6 months from the date that Contact begins supplying energy. If, during that period, you switch your electricity and/or natural gas / LPG supply away from Contact, or Contact ceases to supply you with electricity and/or natural gas / LPG for any other reason, a $50 termination fee may apply.
The discount is not in full or part transferable, exchangeable or redeemable, and no cash alternative is available.
This offer is not available in conjunction with any other promotional offer from Contact.
Contact reserves the right to reject any applicant who does not meet Contact’s payment, credit or other criteria.
Connection and installation charges may apply.
Contact takes no responsibility for any delay resulting from the action or inaction by you or your current energy retailer.

You appoint us to:

Arrange the termination of all contracts with your existing electricity and/or natural gas and/or LPG supplier.
Do all the things necessary to arrange the commencement of supply to your premises as soon as possible, including authorising your existing supplier to release to Contact any information held regarding the supply of electricity and / natural gas to your premises.
Agree with your existing electricity supplier estimated meter reading/s for final billing purposes at the time of changing to us. Contact reserves the right to reject any applicant who does not meet Contact’s payment, credit or other criteria. Contact will commence supply of electricity and/or natural gas and/or LPG to your premises at a date to be agreed between Contact and your existing supplier.
