Getting set up
Take three simple steps and you'll receive our Online OnTime 12% prompt payment discount*.
- Register for our Online Services or log on if you're already signed up.
- Choose 'Online Billing' and tell us you want to get your bill online instead of a paper bill.

Pay your bill by direct debit, SmoothPay direct debit or internet banking by the due date.
Set up a direct debit online now
You can set up your direct debit online. Simply register or log into Online Services and navigate to 'payment options' from the billing tab.Or fill in a paper direct debit form
Alternatively, print off and fill in our
direct debit form (110KB) and return it to us at: Contact Energy, FreePost 113763, PO Box 624, Wellington.

*Online OnTime is available to residential customers who get electricity and/or natural gas from us. Online OnTime 12% prompt payment discount is instead of and not in addition to, the standard 10% prompt payment discount. Excludes LPG, business accounts, PrePower, any payments made by any means by credit card (including direct debit payment by credit card, or internet banking payment by credit card)
