Discover how to make every bill the same with SmoothPay
SmoothPay spreads your electricity and natural gas payments evenly throughout the year, so you pay the same amount every month – regardless of the season. It’s easy, convenient and the perfect way to avoid any ‘surprises’.
How it works
- We calculate your electricity and/or natural gas costs over a year, and divide this into weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments – whatever suits you best.
- We send you your monthly bill as usual, so you have a record of how much energy you've used.
- On the agreed payment day, we deduct the agreed payment amount from your bank account by direct debit. Because you pay by direct debit you’re guaranteed to receive your prompt payment discount as long as you keep to your payment schedule.
- Every four months we review your account to check your regular payments are consistent with the amount of energy you're actually using. If your payments need to be adjusted, we'll give you at least ten days' notice before a new payment amount is deducted from your bank account.
